In every world champion there is always the player who doesn't play often, is pushed to the edge of the bench and mainly is there to fill the empty space in the squad.
One of those players in Argentina's 2022 World Cup squad was Axial Palacios, the Bayer Leverkusen midfielder who logged a total of 47 minutes at the World Cup in Qatar.
Like every player on the Albiceleste squad, Palacios received the title of "World Champion" with a gold medal in a moment he will never forget for the rest of his life, but there are those who want to make him forget it.
Jessica Frias, who is about to become Palacios' ex-wife, has decided in a controversial move to auction off all of the Argentine midfielder's World Cup-winning possessions.
"I'm going to sell all his shirts and his medal to pay for the apartment. I'm trying to work, but I've been there 'for him' for four years," Frias wrote on social media explaining her action.

The two who met in 2018, got married in 2021 and during the last few months are in the process of a divorce which made her sell his valuables to "stay in the apartment, pay expenses and generate income to pay the divorce expenses".
"He told me that he doesn't intend to finish paying for the apartment, because he doesn't know if it will remain his. I am asking for what belongs to me, what we did together. We signed the divorce agreement together and I will get what I deserve. I will not give it up."
