FC Bayern Munich is planning the squad for the coming season and apparently has their sights set on a young defender from Lisbon.
Munich/Lisbon – The current season is anything but satisfactory for FC Bayern Munich.
Bayer Leverkusen has already lost eight points in the championship, the DFB Cup was eliminated by third division team 1. FC Saarbrücken and the first leg of the round of 16 of the Champions League was lost by Lazio Rome.
There could be a change at FCB in the summer.
A possible new addition is a young defender from Benfica Lisbon.
FC Bayern apparently interested in Antonio Silva
According to information from the Portuguese newspaper
Record,
FC Bayern has already inquired several times about the 20-year-old central defender from Benfica Lisbon.
Antonio Silva has been a regular at the top Portuguese club for a year and a half and would be anything but cheap.
His exit clause in the contract, which runs until 2027, is 100 million euros.
FC Bayern Munich is not alone in vying for the Portuguese international, who has seven international matches to his name to date.
Real Madrid, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be very interested in signing him in the summer.
FC Bayern is apparently courting Antonio Silva.

“He will 100 percent stay at Benfica until the end of the season.
Then Rui Costa (Benfica president; editor's note) will decide what to do," said Jorge Mendes, Antonio Silva's advisor, to the Record newspaper in January,
leaving
it open whether his client would leave Benfica after the current one game time is left.
FC Bayern has well-known competition in courting Silva
A departure in the summer is considered likely.
The only thing that remains unclear is the amount for which Antonio Silva is moving.
If a club pulls the 100 million euro clause, Benfica is powerless.
However, it is more likely that interested parties will try to pay less.
But then the top Portuguese club has the last word.

In the current season, the 20-year-old, who comes from Benfica's own youth department, has played 35 competitive games across all competitions in which he scored two goals.
In his entire career, he has played 79 competitive games for his hometown club, with whom he could become Portuguese champions this season.
