After three games outside due to a heel injury, this morning (Friday) Danny Avdia returned to the floor and experienced a particularly painful loss - Washington's 13th loss in a row - this time a dramatic 134:131 to the Los Angeles Lakers, after overtime.
Avdia, who returned to the five, looked very good and provided 8 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists in the first half, in which the Wizards managed to stick to the opponent.
In the third quarter, the Israeli already reached a double-double (13 points and 10 rebounds), his team continued to not get along with Anthony Davis but still remained in the picture - mainly thanks to an excellent offensive night by Jordan Paul and Corey Kispert from the bench.
The turnaround was thrown three minutes to the buzzer, when Kyle Kuzma put his team up 120:121.
The unstoppable Davis returned the advantage to LA, but Jordan Paul responded with a big three-pointer to make it 124:126, 43 seconds to the end.
Reeves equalized, and Washington gave the last ball to Paul - who missed a three-pointer and sent the game to overtime.
LeBron squeezed out of a foul with 40 minutes to go, Reaves blocked another 3-pointer by Paul and the Wizards' really last attempt was missed by Kuzma.
