Sascha Mölders is fighting for promotion to the regional league with TSV Landsberg.
If the jump to the top is successful, the ex-Lion is no longer on board.
Landsberg/Munich – A big bang in amateur football: Bayern league team TSV Landsberg is separating from Sascha Mölders (38), according to exclusive information from Münchner Merkur.
At the end of the current season at the latest, the storming coach should be over at the traditional Lech club.
The former captain of TSV 1860 moved to Landsberg in the summer of 2022, but was unable to meet the club's high expectations.
At the beginning of the week it was decided not to extend the contract and the team has already been informed.
The public should find out this Saturday - after the home game against Nico Karger's former club Deisenhofen (2 p.m. in the live ticker).
For the self-confident Mölders, it is the first major setback in his young coaching career.
Instead of moving up with the ambitious Landsbergers, the club that mutated into TSV Mölders finished the 2022/23 season in third place.
The top favorite is currently in second place in the table, but the trend is negative.
Landsberg lost the last game before the winter break 1:2 in Kirchheim, the first after that 1:5 in Kottern.
The leader of the Bayernliga South is TSV Schwaben Augsburg, with the same number of points (46 each).
Wife Ivonne Mölders and daughters Renée and Joy also help out at TSV Landsberg
Mölders seemed to have the TSV from 1882 under control for a long time - including his family.
Not only does Sascha hold an important position, but also his powerful wife Ivonne, who acts as team manager - and is supported by their daughters Renée and Joy.
Joy was even allowed to be in the team photo.
Son Lio also plays for Landsberg’s U15 – which in turn is coached by dad Sascha.
This should all end by summer at the latest.
It is not yet known where the Mölders family will move on.
The family seat remains Mering near Augsburg.
