FC Bayern can apparently plan long-term with Eric Dier.
According to a media report, a contract clause applies and the Englishman will play at FCB until 2025.
Munich - It was only in January that Eric Dier came to FC Bayern from Tottenham Hotspur on loan for six months; a clause in the contract allows him to stay in the 2024/25 season.

reported on Thursday evening (February 29), this clause has now been activated.
This means that the Englishman will probably continue to wear the jersey of the German record champions next season.
A transfer fee is not due for Dier as his contract with the Londoners would have expired after the current season anyway.
However, several media outlets reported that a loan fee of between three and four million euros flowed into the Premier League club's account in January.

Since his move from the English capital to the Isar, Dier has been in the FCB squad in eight of nine possible games.
He was used six times in central defense, only remaining on the bench in the 0-1 defeat against Bremen and in the first leg of the round of 16 in the Champions League against Lazio Rome (0-1).
He played four of the six games from the start and over the full distance.
“We are happy that we were able to sign Eric Dier.
He has played a role in our considerations for this transfer period for a long time.
Eric will be a valuable part of our defense.
His sporting abilities and his international experience will help the team both on the pitch and in the dressing room,” said sporting director Christoph Freund in the club’s announcement in January.

So far the transfer has paid off in full for both sides.
Dier plays regularly and can therefore also be recommended for a possible participation in the 2024 European Championship with England. Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel knows a reliable defensive man in his ranks.
