The “Enhanced Games” want to attract athletes with prize money worth millions.

The traditional doping rules do not apply.

Munich – Doping has always played a major role in sport.

The past teaches: There will probably never be a fair competition without the use of any illegal substances.

Then why not allow doping right away?

Apparently a few billionaires around the Australian entrepreneur Aron Ping D'Souza have also asked themselves this question.

There should be a million dollars for world records in the “Enhanced Games”.

They are planning the “Enhanced Games”, a sporting event without any doping bans.

“Backed by the world's leading venture capitalists, the Enhanced Games are the Olympic Games of the future.

With 44% of athletes already using performance-enhancing drugs, it's time to celebrate the safe science," the mega-project's website says.

The athletes should be lured with one thing above all: money.

Each participant should receive a starting bonus of 100,000 dollars (approx. 92,000 euros), and there should be one million dollars (approx. 920,000 euros) for every world record!

IOC condemns planned sporting event

The organizers of the “Enhanced Games” do not want to know anything about the dangers posed to athletes by doping.

The “courageous athletes who continue to rely on the latest scientific findings” despite criminal prosecution since 1963 are celebrated much more.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) obviously doesn't think much of this very specific idea.

“The idea of enhanced games deserves no comment.

If you want to destroy any concept of fair play and fair competition in sport, this would be a good way to do it,” it said in a statement.

“Enhanced Games” will take place in five core categories

The World Anti-Doping Agency (Wada) considers the “Enhanced Games” to be a “dangerous and irresponsible” concept.

Even the President of the World Athletics Association, Sebastian Coe, cannot do much with the planned sporting event.

If someone was stupid enough and felt they had to take part, they would be banned for a long time, said the Brit.

Five core categories of sports were selected for the “Enhanced Games”: athletics, martial arts, strength sports, water sports and gymnastics.

It is still unclear whether they should be held annually.

However, the organizers are sure of one thing, as can be seen from the website: “Sport can be safer without doping controls”.

Not everyone sees it that way... (
