So both height and age are just numbers.
At 32 years old and standing at 1.71 meters tall, French international N'Golo Kanté (53 caps) proved it this Friday evening as his Al-Ittihad team, in Saudi Arabia, faced that of Al-Hilal.
In this duel between two behemoths of the Saudi championship, respectively 5th and leader in the general classification, it was the former Chelsea player who opened the scoring in the 12th minute with a very nice goal... with a header!
A great first in his career, he who had only scored 27 times before this achievement, each time with the help of his feet.

A very good achievement of which Kanté was at the origin and the finish, with first a good recovery of the ball which went to his left side, Zakaria Hawsawi.
As Kanté projects himself into the area, the latter sends him a perfectly measured cross, halfway up, which the Frenchman takes with a diving header to deceive Yacine Bounou.
N'Golo Kanté has not been called up for the French team since June 2022. His transfer to Saudi Arabia meant less exposure for him, but he has had a string of matches and performances this season (28 matches played, 2,420 minutes, 3 goals now and 5 assists).
