While French prodigy Victor Wembanyama produced another magnificent performance to allow the San Antonio Spurs to beat Oklahoma City (132-118), superstar LeBron James approached the mark of 40,000 points scored during his career in the NBA.
No player has ever crossed it.
The “King” scored 31 points for an important victory for the Los Angeles Lakers (9th in the Western Conference) against the Washington Wizards after overtime (134-131) and he now has 39,991 points.
LeBron James seized the points record a little over a year ago by surpassing legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's 38,390 points.
