The rumors about Alphonso Davies saying goodbye to FC Bayern are increasing.
But the new sports director Max Eberl doesn't want to give up.
Munich – After months of waiting and rumors, Max Eberl has been officially introduced as FC Bayern's new sports director.
There's a lot of work waiting for him.
One of the most important questions in the coming weeks will be: What happens next for Alphonso Davies?
Dreesen and Eberl speak plainly about Davies' personnel
CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen and the new sports director had to take a stand on this at the press conference for Eberl's arrival.
“We are in discussions with his advisor.
We'll see how complicated these become.
“Christoph and Max will decide in the coming weeks what happens next,” said Dreesen.
And the new sports director also wants to get involved directly: “I’ll start the discussions now,” says Eberl.
In general, however, the goal is never to lose a player for free.

Apparently there is already a buyer
Davies still has a contract with FC Bayern until 2025, so if there is no contract extension by the summer, the Munich team would have to sell the 23-year-old this year in order to generate a transfer fee.
Apparently there is already a buyer: As several media outlets are unanimously reporting, Real Madrid wants to sign the player - there is even said to be a verbal agreement.
The sticking point in a contract extension is apparently the salary, because Davies is said to be demanding a hefty increase, which the club does not want to pay him.
In addition, those responsible in Munich were recently dissatisfied with the full-back's performance.
The personnel remains exciting, and whether there will be a separation in the summer will probably be decided in the coming weeks.
