A lot happened at Eintracht Frankfurt in the winter transfer window.
Apparently the SGE bosses would no longer approve a departure.
Frankfurt – January has rarely been as eventful at Eintracht Frankfurt as this year.
Especially on the access side, the current sixth-placed team in the Bundesliga made people sit up and take notice and brought three well-known players to the Main: Donny van de Beek, Hugo Ekitike and Sasa Kalajdzic.
There was also youngster Jean-Matteo Bahoya.
Eintracht Frankfurt probably regrets leaving Kristijan Jakic
Bitter from the SGE's point of view: Nobody was really able to convince us until the 24th matchday.
Most likely Kalajdzic, but he will be out until the end of the current season with a torn cruciate ligament.
And there is also a problem in the midfield center - which, according to
Bild,
is also the reason why Eintracht regrets leaving.
Because while Van de Beek was hired as a strong eighth player, Kristijan Jakic, a flexible defensive player, was hired to Augsburg on loan with the option to buy.
And especially on the six - where the Croatian acted as a reliable clearer - there were vacancies due to the recent failures of Hugo Larsson and Ellyes Skhiri as well as the long-term absence of captain Sebastian Rode.

Too little playing time: Jakic was probably pushing for Eintracht to leave
As the report goes on to say, Jakic is said to have pushed for a change.
Elsewhere he was hoping for more playing time in order to increase his chance of taking part in the 2024 European Championship.
He obviously didn't want to be satisfied with a substitute role at Eintracht.
The change has been a success for Jakic so far; he was in the starting line-up in five of the six games in the second half of the season.
The SGE coach now has to see how he can form his double six.
In the 2-2 draw against Wolfsburg, the trained central defender Tuta played there, certainly not an optimal solution.

This scenario also threatens for the upcoming duel with Heidenheim on Saturday; playing from the start comes too early for both Skhiri and Larsson.
Eric Junior Dina Ebimbe is more offensively oriented anyway.
Nevertheless, Toppmöller invoked “positive energy” at the press conference on Thursday and made it clear: “We are all hungry to win.”
