The MMA fight came to an abrupt end after referee Rabbi Dean issued a rare red card disqualifying one of the fighters.
Veteran UFC fighter Arjan Bholar suffered the disqualification at ONE Championship 166 in Qatar after receiving two warnings for "inactivity" against Amir Aliakbari.
Bhullar, a heavyweight fighter, met Eliakbari on Friday and began with his usual passive approach before Dean intervened with two yellow cards in the second round to spur the 37-year-old fighter into action.
This did not have the desired effect, and the Indian fighter was eliminated in the next round after not signaling his intention to initiate and attack.

The rare case happened after the organizers decided to adopt the ticket system from the football world (warning and expulsion).
They are one of the only MMA organizations that allowed this.
In the UFC, points are allowed to be deducted for "inactivity".
The CEO of the organization, Chetri Situtong, was furious with the fighter. "What Arjan did is not acceptable in the ONE Championship," he said. "This is the first time in the history of the company, the organization, that we issue a red card for passivity.
First time ever.
"He didn't want to fight. And if you don't want to fight, why are you a professional fighter? You certainly don't belong at the top of the world in martial arts. I was deeply disappointed with Arjan, and I think he let India down. India will no longer look at him as a hero."
