Ski ace suffers serious injury
“Well, that’s just how it works.
Unfortunately, yesterday I suffered a torn cruciate ligament and a bruised bone on my shin.
I have experienced so many emotions in the last 24 hours.
This is a small hurdle and I will jump over it.
I'm concentrating on rehab now and will have to slow down a bit.
Everyone who knows me knows that this won’t be easy for me,” Raposo announced on his Instagram channel.
“A big thank you goes to my team for their support and to the staff of other national teams who helped.
Last but not least, I would like to thank my sponsors and partners who have had my back.
“You mean very well and I thank you for that,” the 28-year-old continued.

In his post on Instagram, in which he can be seen with crutches in front of the hospital, Raposo received many well wishes from fellow campaigners and fans.
For example, the ski racers Joan Verdú, Timon Haugan, Alex Schmid and Daron Rahlves wished him all the best.
Season over for British ski racers
Charlie Raposo made his debut in the Ski World Cup in October 2016, but has not yet been able to achieve a podium finish.
With 17th place in the parallel race in Lech am Arlberg, he scored World Cup points for the first time on November 14, 2021.
He exceeded this result on March 13, 2022 in the giant slalom in Kranjska Gora, which he finished in 16th place.

Despite the mediocre results, the 28-year-old is no stranger to the ski scene.
The reason for this is that Raposo was the first ski racer that Olympic champion Marcel Hirscher signed.
After his retirement, the Austrian ski legend built his own ski brand Van Deer and started with Charlie Raposo.
