Madrid – On Tuesday evening, FC Bayern turned their first leg defeat against Lazio Rome into a win.
Now RB Leipzig would like to follow suit and reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
But the Saxons' task is much more difficult, because with a 0-1 defeat in the first leg they travel to record winners Real Madrid.
RB Leipzig demanded from Real Madrid: “Go to the limit in all areas”
First of all, RB Leipzig managed to reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Before the second leg in the round of 16 of the premier class, the omens are unfavorable, as the Saxons travel to the Spanish capital with the baggage of a 0-1 defeat from the first leg.
Marco Rose was nevertheless brave at the press conference before the second leg.
“We shouldn't just hope so, we should also believe in it.
We have to believe that we can deliver an exceptionally strong performance on the pitch, but we also need luck,” explained RB coach Rose, whose team was denied a regular goal in the first leg.
“We will have to seek salvation in attacking.
We also have to set the pace of the game.
We will have to push ourselves to the limit in all areas,” was the motto on Wednesday evening at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Ancelotti warns against arrogance – Dani Olmo wants revenge
Rose's counterpart Carlo Ancelotti is aware that despite the win in the first leg, nothing has been decided yet.
He knows about Leipzig's strengths, especially in their switching game.
“But we have to show our best side.
The matter has not yet been decided,” warned the Italian at the press conference before the game.
For the Spaniard Dani Olmo in the Leipzig ranks, the game at the Santiago Bernabéu is of course something special.
Because of the stolen goal from the first leg, the team is particularly motivated and wants revenge.
“It is a special scenario, the second leg of the round of 16 of the Champions League here at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Of course I hope we win,” said Olmo.
