Michael Cuisance was never able to assert himself at FC Bayern Munich.
The former top talent now admits to many mistakes.
Osnabrück – In the summer of 2019, Michael Cuisance moved from Borussia Mönchengladbach to FC Bayern Munich.
The German record champions put eight million euros on the table for the former top talent.
But the Frenchman was never able to prevail on Säbener Strasse.
In October 2020 he went on loan to Olympique Marseille for almost a year, followed by sale to FC Venice in 2022.
Ex-Bayern flop Cuisance is remorseful
In an interview with
Sport Bild,
Cuisance admitted a number of his own mistakes that ensured that he didn't make it at FC Bayern: "When I went to FC Bayern, I thought to myself: I've made it.
And then I didn't work hard enough anymore.
Today I know: I should have given 200 percent and done additional units.
It was a great opportunity, I threw it away.
“I wasn’t ready, not even mentally,” the 24-year-old said.
“I'm sure: If I were given the chance to join Bayern again today, I would grab it and prevail there.
But of course that is currently unrealistic.
I want to get back to the top, I think I have the potential for that.
But I’m taking it step by step,” Cuisance continued.

The midfielder is now playing for VfL Osnabrück on loan.
Instead of the Champions League, the reality is a relegation battle in the 2nd Bundesliga.
“We want to stay in the second division with Osnabrück, that’s my focus.
After that I would like to take the next step and play in the first Bundesliga again.
There are contacts with some clubs,” he explains in an interview with
Sport Bild
.
Cuisance disappointed across the board at FC Bayern
In the current season, Cuisance played 17 of 19 possible games in the 2nd Bundesliga and scored two goals (as of March 3rd).
He is a regular player and top performer in the team at the bottom of the table, but still has a lot of room for improvement in terms of scorer points.
