Arriving in 2021 on the program of the twenty or so races of the F1 season, the Jeddah urban circuit was only an appetizer for Saudi Arabia, with excessive ambitions for the future of motorsport.
In an already targeted area in the middle of the desert, a city called Qiddiya is being created as part of the Saudi Vision 2023 program, and the construction of its futuristic circuit with the Qiddiya Speed Park planned for Formula 1 for 2027.

On this track designed by Alexander Wurz, former F1 driver and architect Hermann Tilke, there will be something to amaze us.
21 turns, including “La Lame” elevated to a height of 70 meters (the size of a 20-story building), with a drop of 108 meters per turn.
Even if it did not leak, the length of the circuit could exceed 7 kilometers, and therefore become the longest on the calendar ahead of Spa-Francorchamps (7,004km).
This new GP will not see the light of day before 2027, the minimum date on which Jeddah will remain on the program.
