“The operation went well.
Back soon!
» With this message accompanied by a photo of his wife, Rachel, and his two children, Siya Kolisi informed his fans on Tuesday of his visit to the hospital for an operation on his right hand.
The double South African champion will therefore miss several weeks of competition with Racing 92. Far from being good news for the Ile-de-France club, mired in a series of five consecutive defeats in the Top 14.

The 32-year-old third row has played 12 matches (12 starts) with Racing 92 since his arrival in November, a few days after a second world champion title acquired on French soil.
Author of his only try on January 20 in the European Cup against Cardiff (Wales), Siya Kolisi has only had four successes in 12 appearances for 8 defeats.
Racing 92 must absolutely win on Sunday when they host Toulon at Paris-La Défense Arena (9 p.m.).
Out of the qualifying places for the final phase for the first time this season, the club coached by Stuart Lancaster can no longer afford to lose to a direct competitor.
Siya Kolisi should also miss the trip to Castres (March 23) and the reception at Clermont (March 30).
A return for the round of 16 of the European Cup in Toulouse on April 7 is planned.
