In the last competition of the Upper Bavaria League, the air pistol teams from the region once again delivered good results.

There was tension, especially in a derby.

District

- It would have been asking a bit much if the air pistol shooters of SG Hubertus Rott had improved their season's best performance again in the last competition of the Oberbayernliga Süd-West.

The 1833 rings, achieved in the ninth round against FSG Weilheim, were already a huge value.

In any case, the Hubertus riflemen once again delivered a fine performance with 1820 rings.

SV Kinsau

suffered more

, narrowly losing the derby with 2:3 points.

The guests had scored 1,774 rings, which was a little below their season average.

Rott takes an important victory, Kinsau in second place

The Kinsau team's disappointment was limited due to the defeat.

Second place in the table was already reserved for the promoted team.

“Simply a top placement,” said SVK sports director Thomas Haseitl.

After all, the Kinsau team started the season as promoted teams.

The goal (promotion to the Bayernliga) was ambitious, but Haseitl – a true sportsman – also says: “You have to have a goal.” Therefore, the Kinsau team also want to be at the top of the league next season.

Kinsau's sports director was downright enthusiastic about the “great new shooting range in Rott”.

The SVK takes some of the ideas that were implemented there with them for its new home.

The competition was exciting, the duel was decided in second position.

Everyone else was already finished, between Kinsau's Michael Redl and Rott's Martin Holzschuh the outcome was still uncertain.

However, Redl had a big problem in the last series - at least a 95 was required in order to emerge as the winner.

It was too much that day.

“You just can’t win something like that,” was Redl’s comment after he lost 368:372.

The Rotters recorded two clear victories in positions four and five.

There “our opponents were simply too strong,” reported Thomas Haseitl.

He lost to Gregor Glassmann with 329:357.

In the other match, Alexander Haseitl (346) lost out to Robert Hirschauer (366).

In order to have any chance, both Kinsauers would have had to shoot their best of the season.

At the front, Kinsau's Lukas Grimm (370) and Franziska Menhart (369) competed at a high level.

With the last shot, the guests say, Grimm made the point clear.

Hermann Helmschrott competed due to poor health, but in the end he still prevailed against Maria Kemser with 361:356.

SV Böbing ends the series with a clear victory

The SV Böbing shooters

lived up to their favorite position

in a duel with bottom team Edelweiß Gilching.

The champions of the South-West relay won 4:1 (17770:1763 rings).

The duel in first place promised excitement: Böbing's Andreas Schauer (366) narrowly had the upper hand against the second best individual shooter in the league, Jan-Erik Aeply (365).

The other points for the Schnalz shooters were scored by Yannik Lindinger (373:348), Christian Lindinger (369:361) and Gerald Strunz (356:354).

Substitute Roland Resch lost his match (306:335).

Böbing only gave up eleven individual points in ten competitions.

FSG Weilheim aims well, but is behind

The season ended with a defeat for

FSG Weilheim

: fifth-placed team FSG Starnberg lost 2-3, even though they had a significantly higher number of rings (1772:1759).

Nicole Hausler (368) showed a strong performance in second place and narrowly won against Anton Jost (366).

Maximilian Schmidt (355) took the second point on five – he was a whopping 47 points better than his opponent.

(Our Schongau newsletter regularly informs you about all important stories from your region.)

Weilheim's number one, Lukas Braunreuther (356), narrowly lost, having to bow to Stefan Kawnik (357) with a difference of one ring.

The defeats of Barbara Ludwig (344:369) and Hermann Plötz (349:359) were clear.

As the penultimate, the Weilheimers can hope to stay in the league - the so-called sliding relegation applies.
