Paris-Nice: the profile and route of the 6th stage between Sisteron and Colle-sur-Loup

Highlights: The 6th stage of Paris-Nice will take the peloton along the Route Napoléon to La Colle-sur-Loup. Sisteron will be departure city for the longest stage of this edition with 198.2 km. The finale will be even tougher with the LaColle-Sur-LOUP hill (1.8 km at 10%) which includes very steep passages with an average slope of more than 19%. At the top of this last climb, there will still be 20 km to go to reach the finish line.

La Colle-sur-Loup will return to Paris-Nice.

Deprived of a finish last year due to violent winds, the town of Alpes-Maritimes will once again be in the spotlight with a muscular finale.

Previously, the peloton will have set off from Sisteron for the longest stage of this edition.

With 198.2 km, 90 of which were spent on the Route Napoléon.

After this departure from the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, the road will gradually rise.

A first difficulty will present itself to the runners at km 69.8 with the second category pass of Lèques (6.6 km at 5%).

Cyclists will then have to continue with the Col de Luens (6.8 km at 4.7%), the Côte de la Blachette (2.9 km at 5.5%) and the Col de Gourdon (6.3 km at 4 .3%).

The finale will be even tougher with the La Colle-sur-Loup hill (1.8 km at 10%) which includes very steep passages with an average slope of more than 19%.

You will also need to watch out for the transition to the intermediate sprint at Tourrettes-sur-Loup, which includes a climb with a 12% slope.

At the top of this last climb, there will still be 20 km to go to reach the finish line at La Colle-sur-Loup.

During the last passage from Paris to Nice at the top of the hill, it was the Frenchman Rudy Molard who was ahead of the best adventurers in the peloton, like Tim Wellens and Julian Alaphilippe.

A scenario which could occur upon arrival in the commune of Alpes-Maritimes, unless the general favorites decide to explain themselves on the last climb.
