This Thursday, the National Police arrested 39 people allegedly involved in a brawl between ultras linked to football prior to the match between Real Betis and Osasuna held on October 29 in Seville.

Sources from the investigation have told EFE that the massive police operation launched this morning in the cities of Pamplona, ​​Madrid and Seville aims to arrest the people who participated in said fight.

The operation, which is underway, is expected to take place throughout the day and several more arrests will be made.

The investigation is being carried out by agents of the General Information Commission, specialized in violent groups linked to sports, with the collaboration of the provincial brigades of Madrid, Andalusia and Navarra.

The events occurred on the morning of Sunday, October 29, near the Benito Villamarín stadium, before the start of the match between both teams corresponding to matchday 11 of the League.

The agents patrolling the area noticed the presence of a group with an "ultra" appearance, apparently related to Osasuna due to the mottos and slogans they chanted, and they also observed alleged radical Betis fans in a nearby area, according to the police. Police the next day.

Some of these fans were wearing balaclavas and carrying blunt objects, so, faced with the imminent confrontation between both groups, the agents requested reinforcements and intervened, breaking up the brawl in a few minutes.

After the escape of both groups, the agents intervened with wooden sticks, metal bars, a rocket and even foosball bars used during the brawl, in which at least one person was injured, who lost a tooth and suffered a bleeding wound to his eyebrow. .
