Return campaigns in football bring with them their doubts - they can go well, but they can also go terribly wrong.
FC Bayern seems to be dealing with something like this.
Munich/London – It is not the first time that FC Bayern has been linked to a possible return of a player these days.
The name Joshua Zirkzee, for example, has been floating around Säbener Strasse for a few weeks.
The striker is currently getting started at FC Bologna and can be brought back for a sum of between 20 and 25 million euros using a buyback clause.

Pierre-Emile Höjbjerg should be an issue at FC Bayern
The rumor mill is now offering another story that involves a potential return to the German record champions - but this time without a clause, but with a lot of ballyhoo.
According to journalist Ekrem Konur, Bayern are monitoring Pierre-Emile Höjbjerg's situation.
By the way, the rumor is not entirely new; such Bayern speculation was already spread last summer.
The now 28-year-old has a history in the Bavarian capital.
In the summer of 2012, Höjbjerg moved from Bröndby IF's youth team to Bayern's second team, where he immediately impressed with outstanding performances and was therefore promoted to the professionals after just one season.
Ultimately, however, he was denied a breakthrough there.

Pierre-Emile Höjbjerg is on the ropes at Tottenham
After numerous loan spells, the Danish international moved to Southampton FC in 2016 for a fee of around 15 million euros, and Höjbjerg has been playing for Tottenham Hotspur since 2020.
He has already made 28 competitive appearances there this season, but these are only spread over 1,170 minutes on the pitch.
Not enough for Höjbjerg's demands, who may even have to worry about his participation in the European Championship with Denmark.
So the next Tottenham star is in Bayern's sights.
Harry Kane came to the Bavarian capital last summer, and Eric Dier was brought in on loan a few weeks ago.
The flexible defensive player is now a permanent part of the FCB team.

In addition to Bayern, Atletico Madrid and Juventus Turin are also said to be fundamentally interested in Höjbjerg, whose contract in north London expires in 2025.
A fundamental decision must be made in the coming summer transfer window - either extend or change.
There are currently a lot of rumors surrounding FC Bayern, where the priority is to find a successor to outgoing coach Thomas Tuchel.
