After their unfinished fight on Saturday at the Accor Arena in Paris, Cédric Doumbé and Baysangour “Baki” Chamsoudinov immediately spoke of a rematch, with the two fighters saying
“to stay hungry”
.
On Saturday, the long-awaited fight between the two rivals ended in a fishtail, the referee deciding to stop the hostilities at the start of the third round, after Doumbé complained about a piece of glass or a splinter in toe.
The referee then gave victory to Baki, causing amazement and whistles from the 15,000 spectators present at Bercy.

“Since there wasn’t really a fight, it’s frustrating. We remain hungry. Obviously we all want to see a fight. (A rematch), it’s the logical continuation
,” declared Cédric Doumbé, who said he was
“disgusted”
with the outcome of the fight.
Despite the victory, Baki also expressed his frustration and accepted the proposal, on the condition that the PFL
"line up the tickets"
.
“I don't come for the money in this sport, I come for the best of the best, to go as far as possible in my career.
But if there's a way to pick up tickets on the way, I'll take it.
If we can have a revenge that will bring me a big ticket, we will have to negotiate directly with the PFL
,” he declared.
