Because: Defender Anthony Rouault broke his jaw in the first half.
The Frenchman had to be substituted at halftime.
As VfB now announces, the 22-year-old needs surgery.
According to the club, he will be out for four to six weeks.
Just a few weeks ago, Rouault broke his nose.
That's why he recently wore a face mask.
Stuttgart have already had to do without defender Dan-Axel Zagadou for a long time.
Anthony Rouault will be missing from VfB Stuttgart in the coming weeks.

VfB Stuttgart without Rouault at TSG Hoffenheim
At the beginning of the week, the Bundesliga club announced that it had signed Anthony Rouault.
The defender was initially only on loan from FC Toulouse.
Since the Stuttgart team has already secured relegation, the contract has been automatically extended until June 30, 2027.
VfB Stuttgart celebrated an easy victory against Union Berlin thanks to goals from Serhou Guirassy (19th) and Chris Führich (65th).
