The 2023/24 World Cup in ski jumping continued on Saturday.
The first jumping of the Raw Air Tour took place in Oslo, Norway.
The DSV team disappointed across the board.

in difficult wind conditions .
The DSV certainly imagined things differently.

the DSV jumpers completely failed at the start of the Raw Air Tour in Oslo.
None of the five jumpers who competed could even begin to keep up with the world's best.

was still able to secure a World Cup point with 28th place.

Conclusion
: A really bitter first round for the German team here in Oslo.
Karl Geiger and Philipp Raimund are eliminated.
Andreas Wellinger, Pius Paschke and Constantin Schmid are already far behind.
It remains to be seen whether there will even be a second round given these difficult wind conditions.

However, compared to last year, there are some rule changes to make the tour even more exciting.
56 jumpers took part in the first qualification on Friday,
but only the
best 50 athletes
in the tour ranking will compete at the second stop in
Trondheim .
This makes qualification superfluous; you go straight from training to competition.
There will only be qualification again at the last station on the
Monster beacon in Vikersund
.
40 of the 50 remaining jumpers will take part in the competition.
In the
final of the Raw Air Tour on Sunday, March 17th
, the
best 30 athletes
will compete in the first round.
The weakest ten will be eliminated in the second round, and ten jumpers will still take part in the final third round.
Then it will be decided who the winner of the Raw Air Tour is.

Philipp Raimund
made it into the top ten, he ended up fifth.
Andreas Wellinger,
on the other hand, disappointed with a 15th place.
He was followed by

(26th),
Karl Geiger
(36th) and
Constantin Schmid
(48th).
However, it was really bitter for
Stephan Leyhe
, who finished in
52nd place
