For its 125th anniversary, Eintracht Frankfurt is giving its fans an important home win against 1899 Hoffenheim.

Frankfurt - SC Freiburg increased the pressure in the fight for the European Cup places with a 2-1 (1-0) win at VfL Bochum, but Eintracht Frankfurt did not let this deter them.
The Hessians won the eagerly awaited duel with 1899 Hoffenheim 3-1 (1-1) on Sunday evening.

Ansgar Knauff served the ball from the baseline to the former Dortmund and Munich player, and the 31-year-old only had to hold out his foot.
Previously, Nkounkou had played an outstanding through ball to Knauff.

After a tactical foul, Ozan Kabak (78th) was shown a yellow-red card, while Frankfurt keeper Kevin Trapp, who has to worry about taking part in the 2024 European Championship at home, kept his goal clean until the end.
With 40 points, Eintracht are sixth in the Bundesliga table and are now seven points ahead of Hoffenheim and SC Freiburg (both 33 points) and can once again dream of qualifying for the European Cup.
