While Israeli sports are dealing with the events of the Premier League football match between Hapoel Hadera and Bnei Sakhnin, a violent incident took place late in the evening yesterday (Saturday) not far from the stadium in Netanya, which could have ended tragically: Voila!
Sport learned that today the prosecutor of the basketball association received a letter of complaint from MS.
Even Yehuda from the second girls' league of the Sharon district following its away game last night against Hapoel Jessar al-Zarka, with the estimates being that the team from the Arab sector will be prosecuted as a result.
According to various sources, a violent game on the part of the local team developed on the court in Jessar al-Zarqa, when those present in the hall claimed that the referee of the game at one point asked the Ibn Yehuda team to stop attacking the basket in order to end the game, and so they did.
At the end of the game, the Ibn Yehuda players made their way to the shuttle that would take them back to their city, but then several dozen young men were waiting for them, joined by a number of players from Jasar al-Zarqa, as you can see in the attached video, and began to attack the shuttle with stones and sticks.
The driver tried to talk to the crowd, but without success, and only on his second attempt was he able to drive the vehicle away from the scene when many girls from the group were left traumatized by what they went through during the evening.
With the industry's return to post-war activity, the basketball association allowed teams not to show up for sensitive games and suffer technical losses without risking closing operations.
In the Sharon district girls' league, seven teams from the sector play against three Jewish teams, and so far the games have gone smoothly, including previous away games of Ibn Yehuda in Arab cities.
