Boris Becker chooses critical words about Joshua Kimmich's role at FC Bayern.
The Swabian has still not extended his contract in Munich.
Munich – Will Joshua Kimmich continue at FC Bayern in the long term?
Or will the 29-year-old Swabian and the German record champions soon go their separate ways?
FC Bayern: Tennis legend Boris Becker sharply criticizes Joshua Kimmich
The German international's contract at Säbener Straße ends in June 2025. An agreement on an extension would therefore have to be reached by this summer.
Or the Munich team would probably have to sell Kimmich in order to achieve a lucrative transfer fee for the former Stuttgart and ex-Leipzig player.
While the new sports director Max Eberl is examining the entire squad, tennis legend Boris Becker has now harshly criticized the former hope of German football.

Joshua Kimmich: Harsh criticism from Bors Becker of the Bayern star
“Now I’m not enough of an expert to judge whether he’s the right man for Bayern on the right wing,” said the former Wimbledon winner in the “Triple – the Schüttflix football talk” program on Sky: “But: As He failed six times at Bayern and in the national team.
Kimmich has to think about that and so does the club.”
The 56-year-old further criticized the fact that Kimmich has rarely spoken publicly about explosive issues at FCB and the DFB team recently.
“If I'm sent to the right back as a six, then I'll be the first one to stand in front of the camera and say what I think about it.
At the time of the former Bayern icons there would have been noise in the forest,” said Becker.
“As a six, he failed at Bayern and in the national team.
Kimmich has to think about that and so does the club.”

Boris Becker: Tennis legend doubts the quality of Bayern's midfield
Both FCB coach Thomas Tuchel, who injured his big toe against Lazio Rome (3-0), and his predecessor and national coach Julian Nagelsmann want to constantly use Kimmich as a right-back in the future instead of as a defensive midfielder.
Becker, however, praised the identification figure Thomas Müller effusively.
The 34-year-old Upper Bavarian is “the club’s character player” and a professional who plays “football with soul,” said the 56-year-old on Sky.
Becker described Müller as an extended arm of the coach on the pitch.
However, the Baden native doubted whether Bayern have enough quality in the midfield to be able to keep up with the big players in the field.
“You have (
Aleksandar
) Pavlovic, young player, you have (
Leon, editor
) Goretzka and Müller.
That's the midfield pliers," he said and compared: "If you look at Liverpool, Manchester City or (
Real
) Madrid, then I'm more concerned about the club."
