A violent incident took place this evening (Sunday) at Teddy Stadium at the end of the match in which Maccabi Tel Aviv won 0:1 over Beitar Jerusalem: dozens of Beitar fans from the "La Familia" organization got off the stands and broke into the grass, and started running towards the stands of the visitors from Tel Aviv in a manner Threatening.
The host fans started throwing objects at them, and in response the Maccabi Tel Aviv fans also threw objects, such as sticks and drinking glasses.
The incident took place about half an hour after the game ended, long after most of the crowd had left the stadium area, and it was a confrontation between dozens of fans from each team, with the fan organizations dismantling the equipment they had brought to the game.
It is not clear if it will even be mentioned in the referee's report and what it means. The riot was broken up very quickly, and at least two fans were detained by the security forces. The violent clashes then continued outside the stadium, during which several more fans were arrested.
