They are a model dream couple and well-known in the biathlon world, and now they are building a house in the winter sports stronghold of Ruhpolding: Franzi Preuß and Simon Schempp.
Ruhpolding - Success is characterized by hard work beforehand.
The German (former) biathletes in particular know this all too well.
Like, for example, Simon Schempp, who is retired, and Franzi Preuß, who is still active.
Together they are the biathlon dream couple in Germany.
The two winter sports freaks have now decided to take a joint step, namely building their own home.
A magnificent wooden specimen is to be the new home for the Preuß/Schempp household.
The two of them constantly keep their fans up to date on social media.
And how could it be more appropriate: the new four walls are being built in the winter sports stronghold of Ruhpolding.
On April 7th, the couple showed up at the signing of the contract to build a house.
“A very exciting time lies ahead.
“Simon and I are starting our wooden house project,” announces Preuß.

A lot has happened since then.
Now a lot is already standing, from the outside it looks almost habitable.
“A lot has happened in the last few weeks.
Our wooden house is there,” writes Preuß, but still adds: “Now we can start working on the interior.”
In the third photo she even photographed Schempp helping out.
The former athlete kneels on the floor, wearing work gloves and helping, with a grin on his face.
Wooden house of Preuß and Schempp in the biathlon stronghold Ruhpolding: anticipation is enormous
Preuß, who is preparing intensively for the winter, even spent a few days on Sylt for health reasons, but both of them accompanied the house construction in detail.
They visited the work during the creation of the wooden walls that now adorn the landscape.
“Yesterday we were able to see our walls being manufactured live.
It was very impressive and the anticipation only increased,” wrote Schempp on June 30th.
So everything is moving forward with great strides, perhaps the first new trophies or medals will adorn the walls in winter when Preuß finds its way back to its old form.
The trophy cabinet is already lavishly filled with victories from both of their past.
