A thrilling game, more than 130 penalty minutes, seven goals: The second game between the Miners and TEV Miesbach offered plenty of playoff atmosphere - and an equalizer.

Miesbach

– Both teams took a provocative amount of time to get ready for the game.

So long that the referees urged the players on both sides to finally break up the circle of players in front of their respective goal.

Once it started, there was no more restraint.

TSV Peißenberg wins 4:3 at TEV Miesbach

The host TEV Miesbach and the Peißenberg Miners played a thrilling second playoff game that lasted more than two and a half hours.

In the end, the men from the Ammer won with 4:3 goals and thus equalized the semi-final series at 1:1.

Peißenberg,

defeated 4:7 on Friday

, got off to a furious start.

After a few seconds, Dominic Krabbat had his first big chance;

The puck, centimeters from the line, was moved away by a TEV defender.

Immediately afterwards the target was in the goal, but Krabbat's goal was - correctly - disallowed because of a high stick.

On the other side, Aziz Ehliz got a free shot, Miners goalkeeper Korbinian Sertl made a save (2nd).

It continued in this back-and-forth mode with tons of possibilities.

“Today is more aggressive, today is faster,” TEV back-up goalkeeper Timon Ewert made a comparison to Friday in the break interview on Sprade-TV.

(Our Weilheim-Penzberg newsletter regularly informs you about all important stories from your region.)

The guests truly deserved their 2-0 lead at the first break.

Both goals came in the power play, both were well played.

First it was Dejan Vogl (10th) who made it 1-0, then Christoph Frankenberg (15th) increased the score to 2-0.

Both times, Miners defender Florian Simon did a tremendous amount of work in front of the TEV goal, keeping the defenders busy and limiting goalkeeper Philip Lehr's field of vision.

More than 130 penalty minutes and four power play goals

In the middle third, the Miners initially created more chances.

Krabbat hit the crossbar in the power play (25th).

Miesbach tried to slow down the guests with hard checks.

The whole thing escalated into a fight between several players in front of the Peißenberg goal.

Afterwards, Miesbach's Nikolaus Meier and Peißenberg's Matthäus Lidl had an extra fight (28th).

The result of the duels were three game-time penalties (Peißenberg: Ryan Murphy, Matthäus Lidl/Miesbach: Meier) and four two-minute penalties.

As the game continued, Miesbach had a huge chance, Max Malzatzki saved on the line (30th).

Immediately afterwards, Peißenberg had a power play - and it simply worked on Sunday evening: Dejan Vogl increased the score to 3-0 (32').

But just 46 seconds later, Michael Grabmaier reduced the score to 1:3 (33').

Immediately afterwards, the extremely strong Sertl prevented the second goal from being conceded with a mega save.

In the same minute, Miesbach's Ehliz received a game-time penalty.

Sertl held up brilliantly again, and the Miners were lucky when Felix Feuerreiter shot off the post (39').

28 seconds before the end of the period, the hosts scored through Benedikt Pölt to make it 2-3.

Miesbach started the final third with a lot of pressure.

The result was a lot of dangerous situations in the Miners zone, with the guests playing as hard as they could on defense.

A hard check against Krabbat (45th) when Peißenberg was outnumbered caused a moment of shock.

The Miners were then in the majority for almost three and a half minutes.

And with one more man, the guests immediately struck: Valentin Hörndl scored after a pass from Simon to make it 4-2 (48th).

Korbinian Sertl with many strong saves

The 3:4 connection by Felix Feuerreiter (54th) raised the tension again, especially since TEV went into the power play immediately afterwards.

The post saved Peißenberg (57th) before Miesbach incurred a penalty.

The majority played into Peißenberg's hands.

After that it was a five-on-five fight for a good minute.

Sertl saved against Patrick Asselin and Bohumil Sklavicek (60th).

Then – from Peißenberg’s point of view – it was finally over.

Next Friday, March 15th, the third game will take place in the Peißenberg Stadium.

Starts at 8 p.m.

The following applies: Whoever has three wins under their belt first will advance to the Bayernliga final.
