Francis Angano after the loss to Anthony Joshua/anthonyjoshua
Francis Angano met Anthony Joshua this weekend, and suffered a resounding knockout from him in a high-profile fight held in Saudi Arabia between a boxing champion and a UFC champion.
Joshua is a veteran boxer, holding the world champion belts, and in fact he had no difficulty against Angano, taking him down three times with punches, until the knockout in the second round.
Joshua's three knockouts
Many criticized this matchup, given the fact that Angano couldn't really match his opponent's skill inside a boxing ring.
For Ryan Garcia, the American-Mexican world champion, it is obvious.
"This should be a big warning to all MMA fighters!!! Stop coming to boxing," he wrote, "And it's even more so if we come to your sport. More! In one punch!".

As you know, there have been several cases in the past when MMA fighters were defeated by boxers, the most famous of which was Conor McGregor, who lost to Floyd Mayweather.
Francis Angano, as we know, became an inspirational story for martial arts fans after becoming the UFC champion.
He was born in Cameroon to a poor family, worked in a quarry as a child and was on the verge of starvation, walked from Cameroon to Spain and went to prison, emigrated to France and became homeless in Paris, and eventually specialized in MMA and became a world champion.
