With his actions he possibly saved a player's life.

Munich – It was the 33rd minute of the match between FC Bayern and Mainz 05 (8:1) when referee Patrick Ittrich possibly prevented a major tragedy.

Mainz's Joshua Guilavogui and Anthony Caci collided violently.

Guilavogui remained motionless on the ground.

The referee immediately recognized the serious situation and saved the player from suffocating.
