Ski superstar Aleksander Aamodt Kilde has good news for his fans.
His recovery is progressing.
This begs the question: What happens next?
Munich – Ski superstar Aleksander Aamodt Kilde has had difficult weeks.
Around two months ago, he fell heavily on the descent in Wengen and was apparently in danger of losing his life, as his friend Mikaela Shiffrin said.
Will he return to the slopes after this horror fall?
Uncertain.
End of career?
Ski superstar Kilde doesn't know whether he will ever ski again
In a long statement on Instagram, the 31-year-old wrote: “I’m still thinking about the accident and what happened.
It's hard to imagine skiing again.
The question arises as to how I will feel when I return or whether I will return at all.” Just three weeks after his bad crash in Wengen, he had responded similarly to the question about his career.
But physically things are looking up.
“I am super happy to announce that my wheelchair journey is over.
It was seven weeks, and those seven weeks were some of the most challenging of my life,” Kilde wrote in his statement.
To accompany his words, he provides some pictures showing the journey of the last few weeks and a short video in which he is running again.

Kilde speaks of a traumatic experience after the horror fall
For Kilde, the most important thing at the moment is his recovery, and he wants to continue working on that.
“All in all, I have a lot less pain and the scars are healing very well – the doctors did a great job,” writes the ski superstar.
Despite everything, the fall and his serious injury were a traumatic experience for him.
A few weeks after his accident in Wengen, Kilde shared some pictures with his fans that showed the severity of his injuries.
The question also arises as to whether his body will ever be at 100 percent again, “which is not the best feeling,” as Kilde writes.
So whether he will ski professionally again is completely open.
The first thing for the ski superstar from Norway is to complete his rehab and mentally process the horror fall.
Then he will see what happens next.
