Eintracht Frankfurt will probably snap up Can Uzun from 1. FC Nürnberg.

The transfer fee should be around ten million euros.

Frankfurt – Even between the calendar times in which the transfer window is open, work continues for Eintracht Frankfurt's sports director Markus Krösche.

Offensive man Can Uzun from second division team 1. FC Nürnberg has long been a candidate for a summer transfer at SGE.

According to

FR

information, the youngster has now decided on Frankfurt.

According to

Sport-Bild,

the 18-year-old has already completed and passed the medical check with the Frankfurt team.

A change therefore seems to be just a formality.

Eintracht Frankfurt has to dig into their pockets for Uzun

The transfer fee is in the region of around ten million euros.

At the weekend, Nuremberg's sports director Dieter Hecking told the TV channel Sky

after the win against Magdeburg, in which Can Uzun scored the 1-0 winning goal

: "Can will go his own way, certainly not at 1. FC Nürnberg from the summer onwards," and added smugly that top talent is always expensive: “I will point out again in the negotiations that every goal brings another million more.”

The high quality of the 18-year-old is beyond question.

In addition to his technically outstanding finish, the Regensburg native also has great creativity and ball handling that is worth seeing.

The goal tally of 16 goals in 24 appearances in the 2nd Bundesliga and the DFB Cup speaks for itself.

It was not without reason that both the German and Turkish national teams were courting the youngster, who ultimately decided against the DFB team.

The signs are increasing: Can Uzun (18) will probably play for Eintracht Frankfurt next season.

Uzun would further reduce the average age of the Eintracht offensive

Without a doubt, the upcoming signing of Can Uzun is fundamentally a success for Eintracht Frankfurt.

While the quality, development ability and potential resale value of many players in the Eintracht offensive are very promising, it is noticeable that the age structure in this position area is not very homogeneous.

The average age of the offensive players Jean-Mattéo Bahoya (18), Ansgar Knauff (22), Omar Marmoush (25), Farès Chaibi (21), as well as the striker Hugo Ekitiké (21), who was on loan with a purchase option, and the loaned Jessic Ngankam (23) would currently be around 21 years old with an Uzun commitment.

Even though the SGE's path has often been positive so far with the successful development of some talents, the squad appears increasingly unbalanced due to the age structure.

Hugo Ekitiké (21), Farès Chaibi (21), Jean-Mattéo Bahoya (18) and Co. make up the young, offensive squad of Eintracht Frankfurt.

Eintracht Frankfurt currently lacks experienced attackers

So what does Eintracht Frankfurt plan to do with this wealth of offensive talent?

However, balanced playing practice for the young kickers should not be a problem.

The Hessians' likely qualification for an international competition means that coach Dino Toppmöller has many opportunities to employ his professionals.

However, successful further development usually also depends on experienced teammates who are currently missing from Eintracht's attack.

However, since Jessic Ngankam's future in Frankfurt is more than questionable due to his disappointing performances at Eintracht and Mainz, a squad spot could become available for a more experienced offensive player.

If Markus Krösche prioritizes other attributes such as leadership qualities instead of resale value in this potential transfer, the development plan with the highly talented attackers around Chaibi, Uzun and Co. could completely work.

This would in turn secure the SGE both sportingly and financially in the medium term.
