The return of Cléopâtre Darleux to the French team is not yet imminent.
Victim of concussions, the goalkeeper of the Blue Olympic champions in Tokyo in 2021 did not play for a year, from February 11, 2023 to March 9, 2024. Brestoise therefore played again, finally, less than a week ago.
However, coach Olivier Krumbholz has chosen not to reintegrate her into the France group yet.
The latter will meet at the end of March to prepare two qualifying matches for Euro 2024.
These will take place against Italy on April 3 in Chieti and against Latvia four days later in Saint-Chamond (Loire).
They will have no major stakes: the world champions have already qualified for the Euro which will take place in November-December.
Olivier Krumbholz called a group of 16 players with only two goalkeepers: Laura Glauser and Hatadou Sakou who started during the world title in December.
Injured, the third goalkeeper at the World Cup was not called up.
Nor replaced.
However, Cléopâtre Darleux could, perhaps, regain the blue jersey as early as April.
The French team will play one last match before the start of Olympic preparation against Romania on April 14 in Clermont-Ferrand and reserves the right to call up 4 additional players.
Also note that for the two qualifying matches, the coach decided not to call on Déborah Lassource or Floriane André, present during the matches against Slovenia two weeks ago against Slovenia.
We do not yet know which will be the list of 14 players who will make the Games.
It will be revealed on July 5 but they could well be in this list of sixteen, with rare exceptions.
The list:
Goalkeepers: Laura Glauser - Hatadou Sako;
