Saarbrücken – Now the time has finally come: 1. FC Saarbrücken and Borussia Mönchengladbach meet in the DFB Cup quarter-finals (all information about the TV broadcast).
The duel was actually scheduled for February 7th, but could not take place due to heavy rain.
The next sensation awaits Saarbrücken.
For Gladbach, however, the cup is a great opportunity to bring a messed up season to a conciliatory end.

About a month ago everything was ready for a great DFB Cup evening in Saarbrücken.
But the constant rain thwarted the hosts and VfL's plans.
The game was therefore canceled and will now be rescheduled.
However, the weather forecast gave the organizers another worry in advance: rain is on the cards for the cup evening.
But a few hours before the match kicked off, the Saarbrücken team gave the all-clear: the FCS cup quarter-final against Borussia Mönchengladbach will probably take place.
This was preceded by an inspection of the pitch by representatives of the city, the home team and the DFB on Tuesday afternoon.
They found the condition of the lawn to be good, and the forecast rainfall would apparently not have a significant impact on this.

DFB Cup live: Will Saarbrücken create the next sensation against Gladbach?
The Saarbrücken team has the chance to pull off a big coup on Tuesday evening.
The third division team, which has already embarrassed FC Bayern and beat Eintracht Frankfurt this season, wants to create the next sensation.
Progressing against the “Fohlen” would also mean a derby in the round of the last four for the FCS: the winner of the game will face 1. FC Kaiserslautern in the semi-finals.

But Borussia also wants to achieve this.
Gerardo Seoane's men are having a mixed season in the Bundesliga.
However, a triumph in the cup could compensate for this.
The “Elf vom Niederrhein” is only three wins away from that.
However, the Gladbach coach warned in advance of a “difficult task” in Saarland.
Will 1. FCS throw the next Bundesliga team out of the cup?
