The Munich talents are causing a sensation!
FC Bayern's U19s will fight against Olympiacos Piraeus on Tuesday for their first place in the finals of the Youth League.
Munich - FC Bayern's professional squad is full of top-class players.
And the offspring of the German record champions are now among the best in Europe.
The best proof: Munich’s U19s.
The team of coach Rene Marić (31) will fight on Tuesday (4 p.m., free entry on campus) in the quarterfinals against Olympiacos Piraeus for their first place in the final round in Nyon (Switzerland) of the prestigious Youth League.
“We know that we have already made history by reaching the quarter-finals.
But our journey in the Youth League should continue,” says talented goalkeeper Max Schmitt (18).
“We want to win the quarter-finals and go to the Final Four tournament in Nyon.
That is the clear goal of all of us.”
Not an easy undertaking, as the Greeks are making full use of the age limit and have three players born in 2004 in the team.
“It will be a brutally difficult duel,” said U17 world and European champion Schmitt.
“I assume that Olympiacos will play a physical game.
I know from the past that Greek teams are usually very mentally strong.
I am therefore expecting a hot-blooded opponent.”

The U17 world champion is probably Germany's most exciting left-back hope.
Henning impresses with his very good left foot, strong positional play and good physical abilities.
In the U19 Bundesliga he was captain twice in the absence of Zvonarek, who regularly plays in the U23.
Adam Aznou (17):
The native Catalan is extremely strong at dribbling.
As a left-back, he is reminiscent of ex-Real Madrid star Marcelo (35).
Aznou duels with Hennig for the position on the left of the back four, but he can also act as an attacking winger.
