Munich - With the 3-2 win at Bayern's home campus two weeks ago against Feyenoord Rotterdam, FC Bayern Munich's U19s achieved something historic.

For the first time they are among the best eight A-junior teams in Europe.

Now the next step should take place.

Olympiacos Piraeus will be a guest at the Bayern campus on Tuesday afternoon.

Bayern are targeting the Final Four tournament from April 19th to 22nd in Nyon.

The dress rehearsal for the showdown against Olympiacos was a success.

At the weekend, Rene Maric's team got back on track in the U19 Bundesliga South/Southwest.

The Munich team celebrated a clear 4-1 win against 1. FC Nürnberg.

Winter newcomer Jonah Kusi-Asare put together a double pack.

Against the Greeks, Munich faces “the most difficult task yet,” said coach Maric.

He has to do without a goalscorer from the round of 16 game against Feyenoord.

FC Bayern against Olympiacos Piraeus: Demircan is out - Aznou returns after being suspended

Emirhan Demircan suffered a thigh injury in the city derby against TSV 1860 Munich the previous weekend.

The left winger will therefore not be available to Maric.

Max Mergner and Michael Scott are also still out with knee problems.

Adam Aznou returns to the squad after his yellow card suspension against Rotterdam.

It will also be necessary to combine all forces against the Greek champions.

Olympiakos qualified for the knockout rounds of the UEFA Youth League via the championship route.

After clear victories against US Lecce and FK Qabala, coach Sotiris Sylaidopoulos' team prevailed on penalties against Inter Milan and RC Lens in the playoffs and the round of 16.

Piraeus has been unbeaten in the league for eight games and is currently in second place behind PAOK Thessaloniki.

The Greeks are characterized above all by dangerous set pieces and quick counterattacks, says Maric.
