Chapman, 36, was previously accused of pushing and choking his girlfriend during a violent incident in October 2015. During the incident, Chapman allegedly fired eight shots.

Although Florida State Police never filed charges due to evidentiary issues, the league suspended him for 30 games in the 2016 season.
