The successor to Lewis Hamilton at Mercedes is currently busy in Formula 1. Former Haas boss Günther Steiner is now suggesting Nico Hülkenberg.

The place is currently still given to Lewis Hamilton, but the Englishman will then join Ferrari.
Possible candidates have been in the media since the official announcement.
Now Günther Steiner, former boss of the US racing team Haas, has also joined the discussion and named a quite surprising driver: Nico Hülkenberg.

The Emmerich native, who worked with Steiner at Haas last year, is a good driver.
“He was often underestimated and was usually in the wrong place at the wrong time,” says the 58-year-old.
In the race for the Hamilton legacy, Hülkenberg is likely to only enjoy outsider chances.
Carlos Sainz, who has to vacate his place at Ferrari for the record world champion, is considered a promising candidate.
Fernando Alonso is also mentioned again and again.
