John Wall has experienced extraordinary success in the NBA.

He was selected in the first place of the 2010 draft, earned 276 million dollars throughout his career, became one of the best centers in the world and was selected for the All-Star game five times.

But all these achievements together did not help him in the darkest period of his life.

The point guard, who has not played in the NBA since February 2023, was a guest on The OGs Show podcast of former players Judonis Haslam and Mike Miller and said that during 2022, when he was dealing with a severe Achilles injury and the death of several family members from Corona, he seriously considered suicide.

"If it weren't for my two sons, I would have committed suicide," he said.

"I pointed a gun at my head twice. A lot of people close to me and my friends at the time didn't know. I wanted to commit suicide, but I realized that if I did, I would fail my sons. Who would be there to raise them? Mental health is serious. I went to therapy."

This is not the first time that Wall has shared his mental difficulties.

During 2022 he said: "I was at the darkest point in my life. I tore my Achilles, my mother died, my grandmother died during the corona virus, and I thought of committing suicide."

When he sat by his mother's side during chemotherapy treatments, he realized that "if I get through this, I will get through everything in life."

In recent years, as mentioned, Wall has faced a series of injuries that have made it difficult for him to recover the dizzying ability from the beginning of his career.

Last year he made 34 appearances in the uniform of the Los Angeles Clippers, but this season no team offered him a contract.

His dream now is to receive a call from Miami: "I can help them a lot. Terry Rozier was a good reinforcement, but I can make moves in the pick and roll, even if I come off the bench I can be another player who helps them."
