The Brazilian played on the Weser between 2006 and 2009 and was best known for his excellent technique.
The small, lively offensive player has now ended his career and looks different compared to his time as a professional in Bremen.

On his Instagram channel, which is subscribed to by over six million people, the Werder legend enjoys spending time with his family, on vacation and playing sports.
Football still plays a big role - but so do dumbbells.
He lets his followers take part in his fitness and strength training sessions in several pictures and short videos.
There isn't much left of Diego Ribas da Cunha, his full name.
He has gained a lot of muscle mass through intensive weight training and enjoys showing off his progress in the gym.

The Brazilian, who recently celebrated his 39th birthday, now works as a motivational speaker for athletes, among other things.
Diego ended his career as a professional footballer with Flamengo Rio de Janeiro in 2022.
He has played for the club from the Brazilian metropolis since 2016. Diego won numerous titles with the traditional club, including two Brazilian championships and the Copa Libertadores twice.

Since his retirement, the former offensive player has finally had more time for his family.
He has been together with his wife Bruna Leticia since 2001 and their wedding took place in 2010. Their son was born on February 1, 2011 and made the couple's happiness perfect.

The 39-year-old lives with his family in a quiet place near the Brazilian city of São Paulo.
His son is also passionate about football and seems to have inherited his father's talent.
It is quite possible that he will follow in his footsteps at some point.
