A light blue polo shirt with a white collar, brown shorts and a pair of white socks: there is no doubt, the new outfit of the Belgian football team pays homage to the iconic and timeless look of Tintin.
An assumed influence that the Belgian federation and adidas, which manufactures the jersey, unveiled this Thursday at the same time as the outfits for the other teams of the brand with the three stripes for the next Euro football, which will take place from June 14 to 14 July in Germany.
Not all Belgian heroes wear capes.

“As a big Tintin fan, I am delighted that our Red Devils are setting out to conquer Europe with a jersey inspired by one of the greatest Belgian heroes,” declared Piet Vandendriessche, the very recent president of the federation. Belgian (RBFA).
We are delighted to pay tribute to a true global icon: Hergé.
He not only captivated my heart and mind growing up, but those of so many generations.
And that's exactly what the Red Devils, like the Red Flames (the nickname of the Belgian women's football team), are trying to do.
Let's hope that Tintin will give them the inspiration they need to achieve great performances, starting this summer in Germany.

This jersey, which will be inaugurated on March 26 during a friendly match against England, is “the third Belgian kit in recent years which pays homage to something or someone who has roots in Belgium, and which is recognized and celebrated throughout the world,” the RBFA proudly states in its press release.
The two previous ones: the outer tunic of Euro 2016 in homage to “the Belgian cycling heritage” and that of 2022, which found itself at the heart of a controversy, inspired by “the famous fireworks of Tomorrowland », the electronic music festival which takes place every year in Boom.
