writes, Wolff got behind the wheel himself while filming the new season of the popular Netflix series “Drive to Survive”.
“My driving skills are not ideal at the moment,” Wolff admitted to the medium and explained: “During our tests in Imola I had a problem with the traction control and after two laps I hit the wall.”

Luckily it was just a small shock.
Wolff survived the accident uninjured and then even drove a few more laps on the racetrack.
So the team can breathe a sigh of relief.
Wolff himself had been seriously injured twice in cycling accidents in the recent past, so now he got off lightly.

The 17-year-old is considered a huge talent in the motorsport circus.
He'll be 18 this year, so that would also be exciting for Formula 1. And Mercedes has a cockpit available next season.
A first indication of the future of the racing team?
The Netflix series makers of “Drive to Survive” definitely have the young driver on their list.
Germany's only remaining Formula 1 driver is currently on the list.
But Nico Hülkenberg's cockpit for the coming season is anything but secure.
And after the last race there is now also trouble with the rules surrounding Hülkenberg.
