Spotlights on for perhaps the biggest boxing event of all time: Mike Tyson dares to enter the ring again at the age of 57 - against Jake Paul, who is 30 years younger.
Munich – Mike Tyson is the most feared boxer of his generation – and became a true legend of his sport.
He is now 57 years old, but is now stepping back into the ring.
His competitor, Jake Paul, is 30 years younger than him.
Nevertheless, the setting promises a special highlight.

Tyson and Paul will step into the ring on July 20th at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, currently the largest football stadium in the USA with space for up to 100,000 spectators.
The 27-year-old announced this on X.
“My goal is to become world champion and now I have the chance to prove myself against the greatest heavyweight champion in the world, the toughest man on the planet and the most dangerous boxer of all time,” Paul wrote in the announcement.
For Paul it will be his debut as a heavyweight boxer, but it is not his first boxing fight.
Tyson was already in the audience last year when Paul lost to Tommy Fury.

Jake Paul and his brother Logan are actually influencers, but have been practicing martial arts for several years.
“He has developed significantly as a boxer over the years and it will be a lot of fun to see what the will and ambition of a 'kid' can do with the experience and skill of a GOAT,” Tyson said.
The showdown between Tyson and Paul, who is 30 years his junior, will be broadcast by the streaming platform Netflix.
"Whether you're tuning in via Netflix or watching live, whether you're Team Paul or Team Tyson, whether you're a lifelong boxing fan or watching your first fight, you don't want to miss this event," Paul wrote in the announcement .

Professional fight or show fight?

An event of superlatives guaranteed either way
However, the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation must clarify whether the fight between Tyson and Paul will be a real professional fight or a show fight.
This regulates boxing in the state of Texas and is responsible for permits.
The sticking point could be Tyson's age, who will be 58 in July.
Tyson was last in the ring in November 2020, when he had an exhibition fight against Roy Jones Junior and got a draw.
The legend won 50 of his 58 professional fights and became the youngest world heavyweight champion at 20 years and 144 days.
He was also the first world champion to be recognized simultaneously by the three boxing associations WBC, WBA and IBF.
The fight with Paul promises to be an event of superlatives and – if it is approved as a real professional fight – could become one of the most important fights of the new millennium.
The fight between former heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua and former mixed martial arts fighter Francis Ngannou ended quickly.
Joshua recommended himself for another title fight.
