The goalkeeper of the French team, injured in one knee after a collision with an opposing attacker after three minutes of play on Thursday during AC Milan's match against Slavia Prague, underwent reassuring examinations this Friday.
No lesions were noted.
“The examinations excluded damage to the capsulo-ligamentous system of the knee,” AC Milan said in a brief press release.
The player suffers from a simple hematoma.
It is, however, still too early to say that he will be able to hold his place this Sunday in Serie A against Hellas Verona.
After lacking control on a back pass from Theo Hernandez, Maignan rushed towards the ball and was struck in the right knee.
Strapped, he initially regained his place before finally being replaced by Marco Sportiello.
At the end of the match, his trainer Stéfano Pioli gave his news.

“It shouldn’t be a big deal.
I feel like saying that it will not be a long absence,” explained the Italian technician.
The player himself, when leaving the stadium, answered “yes” to those who asked him if he was well.
The Blues staff will be kept informed of its progress in the coming days.
For the record, the Blues will meet on Monday at Clairefontaine for the two preparation meetings for the Euro (June 14 - July 14) against Germany, then Chile on March 26 in Marseille.
