The 26th matchday of the German Bundesliga is coming up and FC Bayern Munich is a guest at SV Darmstadt 98. The role of favorites is clearly divided, as the bottom of the table meets the second in the table.
In the first leg, FC Bayern swept the Hessians out of the Allianz Arena and ultimately deservedly won 8-0.
For Darmstadt 98 the situation is looking more and more hopeless.
Despite being twelve points behind a safe place and the record champions as the next opponent, coach Torsten Lieberknecht still believes in staying in the league.
“I don't want to shout slogans about perseverance, but I simply have an obligation that we should simply believe in it and approach the next game with the motto 'Always keep going',” said the 50-year-old after the defeat on the last matchday at RB Leipzig.

FC Bayern, on the other hand, has not yet given up the German championship - despite being ten points behind Bayer Leverkusen.
If the Werkself weaken, the German record champions have to be there and for that a win at Kellerkind Darmstadt is mandatory.
