In Massy, everyone praises the kindness of “Doudou” and his laughing face, which makes him so endearing… But behind this nickname, Édouard-Junior Jabea Njocke is not as tender on the pitch.

At the age of 17, the right or left pillar from Massic is an exception due to his extraordinary physique (1.80 m and 112 kg).
“It’s an American fridge,” smiles Bruno Ghiringhelli, the club’s sports director, who discovered “a kid who immediately caught our eye in 2016.”
It was during a departmental plateau in Brétigny-sur-Orge (Essonne), in which Édouard participated with Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois, where he started rugby at the age of 8.
“I signed him up for multi-sport in Villejuif, where we lived at the time, for football, like his two big brothers, even if he didn't want to go,” says his mother Mariette, an accountant.
