Summary: Fiorentina - Maccabi Haifa 1:1/Sport1
Several Palestinian flags were seen last night (Thursday) in the stands of Fiorentina during the return match in the round of 16 of the Conference League against Maccabi Haifa, however one fan of the Viola claims that he was kicked out of the Artemio Franki Stadium because he was holding a Palestinian flag.
"During the initial tests outside, I declared that I had a flag and they let me pass," he said.
"But then I was told that I wasn't allowed to bring it in, because Palestine is not represented on the field. They took me outside and told me that I could return without the flag. I also had a paper in the bag I was given, a pro-Palestinian manifesto that I hadn't had time to read yet. They tore it up and threw it away ".

The same fan, who asked to remain anonymous in the Italian media, added: "It's a great sadness. It just doesn't make sense. I'm Italian-Palestinian, and all I wanted was to support my team. They always bring flags to the pitches - of Argentina, Brazil, France, so Why not Palestine?"
