The journalists in Catalonia testify to Xavi as a "vengeful and neurotic haunted man", who usually sends them "violent and dirty" messages following columns or articles critical of him.
It began when, after the victory over Napoli that secured Barcelona a place in the quarterfinals of the Champions League, the coach contemptuously quoted a column written about the team in which it was stated that "Barcelona is the joke of the Champions League."
"Who's the joke now?" Xavi said, and then the journalist Ramon Besa who wrote the column, revealed personal correspondence with Xavi during which Xavi cursed him and mocked him.
"The messages from Xavi didn't surprise me, because we already had a dialogue on WhatsApp. He told me that I have bad blood, that I have to get it out from time to time."
Now "El Pais" journalist Manuel Chavois also reveals that he received aggressive messages from Xavi following a column he wrote against him.
"He saw that I had written something against him, and immediately contacted me in private messages," said Chavois today, who claims that Xavi's conduct is not suitable for a coach in a club of the size of Barcelona.
"He is not ready to accept criticism. He won every possible title as a player, and thought that the admiration for him would last forever. He thought that no one would mess with him, but that is impossible. He forgot that he coaches one of the most important clubs in the world, and that it is impossible to escape criticism. You can get angry every time a bad word is written about you."

Chavois added: "Do you think that Zidane who won behaved like this when he was coach of Real Madrid? That after a loss or a draw against Almeria, after he was booed at the Bernabeu, he addressed journalists with messages? It's absurd."
