Young talent at FC Bayern: Manuel Neuer has become a father.
Coach Thomas Tuchel confirmed this during a press conference.
Munich – Press conferences are actually there to exchange ideas with the journalists present about the upcoming game.
That's what it was intended to do on Friday when Thomas Tuchel took a seat on the podium in the FC Bayern press area to give information about the upcoming Bundesliga away game against Darmstadt 98 (Saturday, 3:30 p.m.).
Tuchel's exception in this case was Manuel Neuer's fatherly joys.

FC Bayern can rely on Manuel Neuer in Darmstadt
Tuchel confirmed during the media round that Neuer and his wife Anika had their first child together.
“He had a two-day break, will come along later and play tomorrow,” said Tuchel, who also explained whether Neuer will be in action for FC Bayern in Darmstadt.
“It's clear that it's inspiring.
I heard that mom is doing well – and that’s why dad is doing well too.”
At the end of last year there was already a spicy suspicion after Anika Neuer changed her name on Instagram, which led to the suspicion that she and Neuer had secretly married.
Eventually the marriage took place.
